Cate Ruby Nail Polish

Australis Nail Polish

I did this manicure yesterday to try out my new nail polishes from Australis; Bombshell and Speck-tacular, which is a holo flakie, and the tips are done in Sally Hansen's Gem Crush - Big Money.
I'm not used to bright colours on my hands, I usually save them for my feet so I may swap this colour for my new baby pink polish soon.
Sorry about the bad quality photos, I'm still learning!

Bombshell is the perfect fuschia pink, especially for pedicures and  you can get away with one coat.

You can't notice the flakes of holo glitter with this bad quality camera unfortunately but it's a great polish.

I have an engagement bbq on the weekend so I was having a quick look around the net for cute (cheap) dresses in stores (brick & mortar stores) and I found this cute dress on sale in Dotti for $19.95.

Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Nail Polishes

Now these aren't exactly new polishes but they are new to Australia and people are going crazy for them.

They are usually about $9.95 I think but Priceline recently had them on special for $7.95 and so many stands that I saw were almost empty!

I had my heart set on a bottle of Big Money after seeing swatches online, but I ended up trying 3 or 4 different Priceline stores until I found it in Woolworths of all places! Sadly I had to pay $9.95 though lol.

Swatches of Big Money to come, when I can be bothered reapplying it! Application is so easy and dries so fast but the removal is a bastard, but the foil method helped me heaps with this! Thanks to those nail bloggers who taught me about this! :)

Anyway the Gem Crushes are unlike other glitter polishes easily available in Australia, and as fellow Aussies know, we don't have a lot of selection here! These give full coverage in about 3 coats and would really dress up any outfit. I'm usually a huge accessories person but maybe polish can be my new bling!

Sportsgirl's Nail It Nail Polishes RRP $7.95

What do you think of Sportsgirl nail polishes? I actually love all the colours and the bottles but I have found that mine get thick and gluggy quite quickly! I have a bottle of 'Wow' which I love the colour of, but it's turned into a gloopy mess :( Perhaps the lid wasn't closed properly so I'll give the polishes the benefit of the doubt, seeing as my 2 bottles of the shade 'Lipstick' have held up quite well!

Yes I loved the shade so much I ended up with 2 bottles. Swatches to come soon.

Anyway these are $7.95 each, although you will often find some shades on sale for $2.95 or so!
